Cultural Diversity in Health Care Spring 2021

Purpose

The purpose of completing this worksheet to develop a greater understanding of your cultural identities and how they may shape your attitudes and interactions with others. As we have discussed in class, a key component in cultural humility and one of the most powerful ways to reduce the negative impact of individual biases on health outcomes of the people we interact with is by developing critical self-awareness. With greater self-awareness, we can then develop a habit of continuous critical self-examination and identify how we may, knowingly or unknowingly contribute, to oppression and negative health outcomes among groups that have be minoritized in US society.
