PURPOSE: Students will explore their own thoughts on various Globalization & Technology topics throughout the course and demonstrate their critical thinking in the form of a written Journal entry on a particular topic, .
TASKS: For this Journal entry, students are to contemplate and thoughtfully answer the following questions, demonstrating critical thinking and the ability to make connections to assigned readings and class discussions:
- Is Globalization a new or old phenomenon? Explain.
- What characteristics will Globalization in the future have? What will the future phase of Globalization be like? Explain your opinions/ideas.
- In your opinion, what is the greatest technological advance in humankind? WHY? Explain your opinion.
SUBMISSION: Students are to submit a Journal entry of at least 200 words TOTAL as a direct text box entryto this Canvas Assignment. Students may write in any style they wish, as long as the above questions are addressed and complete sentences are used. Students will not be graded on spelling and grammar (although every effort should be made to use correct spelling and proper grammar!). Students will be graded on their critical thinking, ability to connect their thoughts to assigned readings and class discussions, and genuine effort (please see RUBRIC for this Assignment).
