Multidimensional Framework for Assessment

Joe the King was a great example of how so many factors can hurt or help with the upbringing of a child. It wasn’t his fault of where he was born, who his parents were, or his circumstances. He was a child that had to adapt to his surroundings which for him meant going into survival mode at times.
His biological influences which includes, enetics, the nervous system, physical health, neurological functioning, and disease (Hull Jr & Lundahl, 2014) were more so based off of the movie with his physical health. He wasn’t getting the proper nutrients at home with food. Reason why he would eat other people’s leftovers at the restaurant he worked at.
Psychological influences include states of mind, intelligence, emotionality, and, among others, how humans process information(Hull Jr & Lundahl, 2014). Joe had a dysfunctional household, which resulted in him not being able to properly function at school. With his dad being emotionally and psychically abusive. I don’t think it is possible to fully have a dysfunctional household and then go to school and perform on the level that is successful. This also includes the societal influences. This ranges from the choices he made which were not smart or good to the type of people that he hung out with. Even his friend’s mother was verbally abusive to her child which is not how a parent should raise their children.
Everything in Joe’s life was not beneficial to him. From his father, family, friends, and the adults around him. Even his teachers mistreated him in ways that are just unacceptable. There was nobody in Joe’s life that he could fully depend on, but yet he found himself being the one that others depended on.
