Personal statement essay about my condition with Hyperhidrosis
For my personal statement essay for college, I want to write about my issue growing up with hyperhidrosis as a girl > very sweat palms when I’m nervous or anxious, sweat stains in my school uniform. Explain how initially it stood as an obstacle for my daily life, but as I grew up hyperhidrosis has changed my views on life and help morphed me into the women that I am now.
1st paragraph: I want to describe the difficulties I deal with sweaty palms growing up. eg: feeling ashamed, feel different from peers, when I have anxiety/nervousness my palms and underarm automatically sweat beyond my control, once I even got electrocuted while performing with my band as I play the electric guitar, feel ashamed when I go on dates with boys and I sweat a lot because I’m nervous
Rest of essay: Talk about how as I grow up I began to realise that this condition hyperhidrosis had made me become the person that I am. Hyperhidrosis gave me the characteristics to become more adaptable in situations, learn to understand my flaws, basically saying that hyperhidrosis is my beacon in disguise. Now I learn to appreciate my hyperhidrosis whether the world accept it or not. Also maybe include what lessons did I gain out of this experience?
I want this essay to use talk about my condition with Hyperhidrosis as a metaphor for the bigger things in life and how this would allow me to grow as an individual when facing more adversities in life or college. I know this is a weird subject but I want my personal statement to be something unique about me.
