Hello, I just need PART 3&4 (Part 3-Final Approval which is just revising the paper by the feedback that was provided by my professor AND(part 4- letter to to Send Out to a media publisher)
I will attach my paper that needs to be revised. This was the feedback provided by my professor (the title, body and conclusion)
Title:
Can you come up with a catchy title that will make people interested in reading your article?
Body:
Great write up but as a man, why should care? Remember your audience are not going to be social workers so you want to grab your readers especially in the first paragraph.
Conclusion:
I would add to my ending to make it strong and memorable. Something to light the fire of your readers to jump into action to change things
Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to author an original Op-Ed piece on an issue tied to a legislation or a proposed legislation of your interest and submit it to a local or national, printed or online, news media.
Instructions
Writing an Op-Ed is a powerful way to bring attention to issues and voice an opinion that is based on factual information.
Part 2 – Draft
Once your issue is approved, research all the background information you need in order to write your article. Your Op-Ed must be thoroughly researched as each newspaper or publication has different requirements. As you write your draft:
Gain a full understanding of the issue and the legislation tied to it including:
what the main problem is;
why people should care;
what possible solutions may be available.
Highlight how Hispanics and other minority groups may be affected (if possible).
Align with the principles, ethics, and culturally competent language of the social work profession.
Include recommendations or call for action based on evidence.
Part 3 – Final Approval
After receiving draft feedback from your instructor, rewrite and/or update your Op-Ed. Your final Op-Ed:
Should address all draft feedback from your instructor.
Must be approved by your instructor before submitting to a media publisher.
This assignment part is not graded – you will only be provided approval or not. Your final grade for this assignment will be given once you have submitted proof of submission to a media publisher.
Part 4 – Send Out
After receiving final approval from your instructor, submit your Op-Ed to a media publisher. Note that:
Newspapers and other publications usually take about two weeks to publish.
If/when your Op-Ed gets published, send link to the instructor, even if it is after course end.
To submit proof of submission of the Op-Ed, you can provide a screenshot of submission, response from publication, or you can copy your instructor on the email when submitting.
