Great write up but as a man, why should care? Remember your audience are not going to be social workers so you want to grab your readers especially in the first paragraph.
Conclusion:
I would add to my ending to make it strong and memorable. Something to light the fire of your readers to jump into action to change things

Part 2 – Draft

After receiving draft feedback from your instructor, rewrite and/or update your Op-Ed. Your final Op-Ed:
Should address all draft feedback from your instructor.
Must be approved by your instructor before submitting to a media publisher.
This assignment part is not graded – you will only be provided approval or not. Your final grade for this assignment will be given once you have submitted proof of submission to a media publisher.
Part 4 – Send Out
After receiving final approval from your instructor, submit your Op-Ed to a media publisher. Note that:
Newspapers and other publications usually take about two weeks to publish.
If/when your Op-Ed gets published, send link to the instructor, even if it is after course end.
