Multiculturalism in Canada and United States

Task

The focus of your research paper is to be multiculturalism in Canada and United States.  Multiculturalism is a broad topic that you will want to narrow to a specific area of multiculturalism.  For example, you might want to look at the policies of each country and compare these policies pointing to differences and similarities.  Another area could be the way each country promotes its multicultural aspects.  You might also want to look at how multiculturalism has evolved historically in each country.  There are many avenues you can explore.

Conduct

The following details how this research paper is to be constructed:

1. An introduction and background about why this topic is significant.
2. A summary of at least 3-5 properly cited scholarly sources.  Note that each of the summarized articles must be cited in this section and referenced in the reference list.  The summary should be about one page in length.
3. Write a descriptive and explanatory analysis using the three to five scholarly sources you have selected plus any other material you have researched noting how each addresses the topic of multiculturalism in Canada and the US. This section must also include cited material from your research [NOTE: This should be the largest part of your research paper, at least 60% – 70% of the content]
4. Provide a summary and conclusion of what your analysis has shown.
5. List of references following the conclusion.
6. All citations included in the essay are to be formatted using APA citation format
7. The references are to be formatted using APA formatting
8. The research paper is to be not less than five pages excluding a cover page and references.  The paper is to be double spaced in Times Roman 12 pt font.
9. The paper is follow the format below with a section heading for each section:

   3. Explanatory Analysis of Multiculturalism in Canada and the United States
   4. Summary of Findings
   5. Conclusion
   6. References
10. The research paper is to be grammatically sound and properly formatted.
