Decision making tool and strategies
One of the biggest challenges to the managers of an organization is decision-making. The continuing development of this skill is vital, because it is this skill of making decisions properly that makes adifference in the results of the organization. (Shimizu, 2010)
Ryanair is one of the leading airline companies of Europe that is known for its low cost and high qualityservice. It “operates more than 1,400 flights per day from 44 bases and 1100+ low fare routes across 27countries, connecting 160 destinations”.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the airline management is faced with challenges that have forced them to look at the following options:
i. retrench their work
ii. reduce boarding amounts
iii. organize a shift regime for flight attendants and pilots in each country
iv. lay off employees
v. reduce airline promotion/advertisement
vi. issue protective gears for passengers instead of snack items
