Part 1: 1-2 paragraphs: using the attach reading and video write a discussion post using the following info. The goal is to analyze the module through the framework or lens of one course module and present the major conclusion you came to about that course theme(Homefront/Fighting front, Identity, Memory) . There is no one correct one for each module; sometimes more than one will be relevant. Going forward, try to come up with an argument that is analytical rather than descriptive. What you have right now is an argument that says “I see the class theme of _______ in this module.” If your argument is descriptive, the body of your writing can only be summary. Description just tells us what is there. Analysis means breaking something down to get at its meaning. If your argument is analytical (something along the lines of, “I learned _________ about the role of (theme) in World War 1 from this module, because….”), then that makes it easier to select relevant evidence (anything that helps develop your argument), and it allows you to perform actual analysis instead of summary (explaining how the evidence proves your argument). Also, be sure that you are integrating knowledge from across the module (lecture included), and not just the reading.
