The Lacunas in the Protection of Syrian Refugee Women in Turkey

I am specifically interested in Syrian Refugee Women in Turkey because they are facing many problems that need to be heard and solved. “The Lacunas in the Protection of Syrian Refugee Women in Turkey: The Problems and Potential Solutions” will be the title of my dissertation. Therefore, my research question is going to be “How can gender-based discrimination against Syrian Refugee Women in Turkey be analysed from a socio-legal framework and what could be the possible solutions for their problems?” In this study, I will focus on the problems of refugees in the context of social policy, exploring the case of Syrian refugee women in Turkey. In order to fully understand their adaptation efforts to socio-cultural change and complications they are facing, it is important that wide range of areas as shown below are considered in detail: · The situation of Syrian refugee women in the world and Turkey · Examining Syrian Civil War and women from a feminist approach in the context of security and peace in international relations · Mental health of refugees, asylum seeker and immigrant women in Turkey · Gender based violence against Syrian refugee women in Turkey · An evaluation of the activities of civil society organizations towards the Syrian refugees in Turkey · Health and fertility characteristics and affecting factors of Syrian refugee women · Rights of Syrian refugee women in Turkey and analysis of whether they are able to utilize it or not · Future of Syrian Refugee Women in Turkey · Criticism and possible solutions of the problems Some relevant International Relations Theories, methodologies and laws must be used to strengthen the ideas. Also, criticism and solutions part are very important because we are expected to come up with something new.
