Problem Statement
I would like to rewrite this and need to keep it under 80 words total.
I also need to make sure these 4 points are hit in my short paragraph.
A good problem statement has five basic elements: • It references something the organization cares about and connects that element to a clear and specific goal; • it contains a clear articulation of the gap between the current state and the goal; • the key variables — the target, the current state, and the gap — are quantifiable; • it is as neutral as possible concerning possible diagnoses or solutions; and • it is sufficiently small in scope that you can tackle it quickly.
Improving Our Logistics Department to Have Higher Percentage of On-Time Deliveries
Our logistics department has been delivering on time to our clients about 60% of the time. We would like to improve to 90% through the use of a tracking software. The software will help streamline the flow through every department and having the logistics department be able to have better visibility of what deliveries need to be planned resulting in better customer service. The software will give the logistics department 6 hours to plan instead of the current 90 minute average they have.
