Your assignment for the second week is to create an annotated outline for Chapter 13. The deadline is 5 PM on Monday, June 22, 2020, 2020. An example of an annotated outline from a previous textbook is included in the Introductory Material section. You will outline the sections (black) and subsections (green) of the textbook chapter and write a minimum three sentence synopsis (in your own words…….NOT a copy of the book text) for each section and subsection. You obviously do not need to include a citation list or references. However, your outline will be evaluated for originality by SafeAssign, the Blackboard originality determination. Your grade will be based on approximately 80% for content, completeness, originality (as determined by SafeAssign), and following instructions and 20% for grammar, spelling, etc. You MUST submit to Blackboard by the deadline to obtain credit for your work.
Blackboard can accept most common file types (best is WORD). However, if you are using a non-standard file type (e.g., google-docs or wordperfect), you may need to copy and paste your text into the textbox. Unfortunately, pdfs have had significant problems and, hence, WILL NOT be accepted. It is your responsibility to see that your assignment is submitted properly and before the deadline. Please contact me by e-mail (pbuchanan@kilgore.edu) if you have a question. I will evaluate the originality of your outline using the tools in SafeAssign. I want your synopses to be in your own words, not the words of the textbook or another student or an outside annotator. You MUST submit to Blackboard by the deadline to obtain credit for your work. Late submissions will not be accepted. To submit to Blackboard, click on the red link above (Assignment: Chapter 13….).
