Chasing Heroin
1-Prompt
Some acts are crimes under both federal and state law, which means that the accused can be tried in both federal and state courts for the same crime. Although it is somewhat rare to try a person in both courts, is this fair? Why or why not? Is there a specific type of crime that may be more suited over another to be tried in both courts? Why or why not?

Burglar #2, who stole the exact same item and has the identical record as Burglar #1, works out a plea deal for a two year sentence. Is this fair? Why or why not?
