Current Event Paper
In a 400-500 word paper, choose a recent article from an approved business publication (see list provided in the assignment) that appeared in the previous 30-days, summarize the article in your own words, and clearly identify and explain how it relates to one course topic from the course readings. You must include a summary of the article (no more than half of the paper) and your synthesis of the information in the article and relation to class topic (with clear identification and explanation of the topic). Be sure to correctly cite the article and all sources at the end of your paper using either an MLA or APA format.
Approved business publications for this class: Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Fortune, Money, Fast Company, Inc., The Economist, Harvard Business Review, and Kiplinger’s (others only with prior approval).
Your paper must include three sections: Section 1 – an introduction in which you summarize the article; Section 2 – clear identification and careful explanation of the class topic(s) this article relates to with effective analysis (tie in the topic to the article); Section 3 – your conclusions and analysis based on your reading and understanding of the course topic.
