Film review
Instructions:
1) Choose one of the movies you have already watched: The remains of the Day or The Imitation Game.
2) Write an analytical and critical film review essay discussing why the film production is successful/effective or unsuccessful/ineffective in conveying the intended message. You should identify and choose the main theme as the main point of discussions.
3) The essay should be in APA format and should include:
– a cover page
– an introduction to the film and the thesis statement with 3 points
– three body paragraphs including a topic sentence and at least 3 evidence/support. Evidence/support for each topic sentence should be from semiotic analysis, narrative analysis, contextual analysis, mise-en-scence analysis, and rhetorical devices we have discussed in the class.
– one body paragraph as the counterargument
– conclusion paragraph
– reference page
