As an enthusiast of human connections and technology, the past two decades have been a continuous learning experience in exceeding performance metrics and building relationships professionally. During my years of employment and education, working in various capacities has influenced me to pursue an occupation as a leader of change management and an influencer with technology.
My professional experience started as an innovative Account Executive tasked with building relationships, resolving client’s issues, and exceeding productivity through exceptional customer service. Since then, I have had similar work-related experiences, including as a Marketing and Sales Account Executive, Broadband Specialist, and Community Multi-Unit Relationship Executive. These roles have given me exceptional learning experiences and enhancement with organizational development in diverse environments. Presently, I am working as a Business Acquisition Account Executive with similar functionalities, but more of a hands-on approach to building relationships and actively prospecting technology concepts to businesses.
With a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications, seeking a career that will broaden my professional knowledge and enhance confidence as a professional will require expansion of growth and development. Moreover, my curiosity and eagerness for learning and development have led me to pursue a program that will provide robust knowledge with both learning and performance strategies. I have discovered that effective communications with training and e-learning indefinitely displays a positive impact for success in various aspects for organizations. For example, proper measurements with e-learning can contribute to efficiency, performance, and productivity. Hence, many challenges are faced where organizations seek assistance to enhance practical skills and performance tactics for effective communication and to mobilize change.
With careful research and consideration, a Master of Science in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL), along with the E-Learning and Performance Support certification, will give me the skills and confidence to apply relevant principles and techniques in workplace settings. The OPWL program has had an unparalleled reputation in terms of the quality of students, faculty, and education. Program. I am confident that program includes a curriculum that will influence new career opportunities and will give me the resources to gain real-world experiences, and solutions with a conceptual focus. In addition, the program will enable me to fulfill my goals by developing learning strategies and cutting-edge solutions. My workforce skills as a professional collides with the OPWL coursework, and I am eager to apply the initiatives that will impact global learning and performance by researching evidence-based practices and theories.
Both graduate studies will be an expansion of knowledge which will accentuate the foundation principles of workplace learning, organizational performance, e-learning practices and principles, e-learning development, learning content design and blended learning for performance improvement. With such coursework, I will be in a position of fulfilling my career goals since it will expand my skills and provide added value in my organization. Moreover, the coursework will provide me with overview of the field in addition to models I am expected to be familiar with, guided practice with e-learning development strategies as well as utilizing blended learning strategies to attain enhanced skill transfer outcomes.
There are several strategies that will be implemented to solidify completion of my graduate studies. First, I will structure time management and make a commitment to schedule downtime that will work best for weekly scheduling. With an asynchronous learning method, this structure will allow me to have more flexibility with creating my own schedule. Moreover, carefully tracking my degree path and scheduling a feasible study schedule contributes to satisfying results. Secondly, I look forward to engaging with faculty and students. Connecting and sharing experiences with my peers, seeking collaboration, exchanging input, attending, and participating in group and informational sessions leads to a fulfilling experience and self-discipline. Forth, creating and following an annual plan by tracking my specific program requirement, scheduling meetings with my supervisor, publishing academic articles, making presentations, and developing personal professional development plan. Fifth, I will establish a positive relationship with my supervisor and interpret new academic scheduling regular meetings for professional development, this will encourage personal confidence and future leadership opportunities.
These valuable relationships with faculty and workforce will allow me to embrace relationships with my peers and be a remarkable aspect of encouragement and the fulfillment of prosperity. is important to grasp a positive mindset and to eliminate negative thoughts, success is possible for everyone! Familiarizing myself with program requirements and timelines, participating in intellectual community groups in the OPWL community, etc., creating and following an annual academic plan is key.
