Directions: Using all of the pieces I’ve uploaded, you will draft a lesson plan for the first lesson(day 1) of the unit including a graphic organizer that will provide scaffolding to students during the lesson.
1.) the lesson plan must be written using the lesson planning template provided to you.
2.) You will include a graphic organizer that you found or created to support student’s learning.
3.) You will need to include any assessments used. including the pre-assessment and any formative assessment that collects evidence of student learning from the lesson. (please use the pre and formative assessment that I created, found in the “describing characters- anchor chart” file.
4.) You will need to identify instructional strategies that are research-based in your lesson plan (the ones I’ve chosen are academic vocabulary and word wall. If you find different ones (using the “instructional strategies list” file )that apply better feel free to change them.
5.) You will need to plan for and document in the lesson plan support for academic language development, modify and adjust both products and the environment to meet student’s needs.
