During your career as a professional or public servant, you may face situations for which there are no settled ethical laws, regulations, codes, or standards. You’ll have to use your own best judgment to decide what to do. This assignment will give you a chance to think for yourselves (setting aside Rowson’s principles, what you may already know, and before doing any research on the applicable rules) and write your own rules.
Identify two ethical challenges or questions that are unique to your chosen profession;
Formulate the ethical rules or standards that apply to these situations (what do you think the rules or standard should say? Or, as a lawyer may ask, what would a reasonable professional do in the same or similar situation?);
Select at least one of these situations and research the actual ethical laws, regulations, codes, or standards that govern the situation. What does the actual rule say?
Your post (about 250 words) should include the two unique challenges, your proposed ethical rules, and an actual rule for at least one of the two challenges.
