Organizational Behavior: problem solving
Problem-solving Discussions will push your critical thinking concerning an organizational problem. These dialogs are more formal, requiring you to support your claims from with well-vetted, outside material.
In each Problem-solving Discussion, you must apply at least two outside sources (news articles, business publications, scholarly articles, etc.) of your choice to support your initial post. Additionally, you must refer to your assigned text. Ultimately, you will have three references in each initial post.
All references must include in-text citations as well as a full citations in MLA format at the end of your initial post.
Additionally, you must follow the 3-Step Problem-solving Approach for each discussions. This well help you (and others) to clearly identify the problem/cause and your recommendation. Include:
Stop 1: Problem (Define the problems in the case.)
Stop 2: Cause of the Problem (Identify the OB concepts or theories to use to solve the problem.)
Stop 3: Recommendation (Explain what you would do to correct the situation.)
These headings are required for each initial post within a Problem-solving Discussion.
Problem-solving Discussions are worth a total of 25 points, with 17 points possible for initial posts and 8 points possible for responses. A grading rubric is provided in the Assignment Expectations page of the D2L course.
