Essay 3: Focusing on the years 1763-1776, describe how the people living in British North American shifted from being happy subjects of the British king to citizens of an American republic? What key events altered the relationship between the colonists and British government? What impact did the publication of Common Sense have on the American Revolution? ( prompt)

Each essay should be at least five paragraphs in length.
You are encouraged to use 5 paragraph structure (Intro and thesis 3 body paragraphs conclusion).
Properly cite your sources using MLA, APA or Chicago format:
As you write your essay, you need to cite (write) where you are getting your information from. For example: “American history begins with the first Americans” (The American Yawp, Ch. 1).
You should cite your source when you directly quote material from the source (see the example above) and when you paraphrase information from a source.
You can use whatever citation style you would like as long as it is consistent throughout the essay. If you are not sure which citation format to use, I would suggest sticking to MLA format (see previous example in bold).
You should also include a “Works Cited” page that lists all of the sources that you used on your essay.
While I would encourage you to focus on using information from the course material (The American Yawp, Introductory Remarks, and the films), you can use outside sources in your response if you would like. If you use information from a website, please make sure it is a credible source
