Write Summary and Analysis of Jose Marti’s “Our America”

Write a summary of the document using the following steps:
1. Read the document carefully until you’re sure you understand the information. This may require you to read more than once.
2. Use a pencil or highlighter to indicate the important information or the information you would like to use. If you are not able to write directly on the material, take notes on the information.
3. Put your notes and the document aside.
4. From memory, write the information in your own words.
5. Go back to the original document or notes and compare your summary. Ensure that you included all the information you’d highlighted, and check to see that all of your information is accurate.
Then, use your summary to write an analysis of the central idea. How does the author use structure and word choice to develop the central theme.
Your summary and analysis should include quotes from the text and analysis of those quotes. Make sure to write in complete sentences. Write a minimum of 2-3 paragraphs
