You must choose a specific event to investigate as a case study, trace the origins of the event and its development over the years. Analyse whether the role, objectives and motivations behind staging the event have evolved or changed over the years based on an analysis of the relevant factors that have influenced that change. You must include an analysis of the stakeholders and the impact the event has had on society.

You may choose an event to investigate as a case study or one from the suggested list.

Key areas to consider:
• Trace the origins of the event and its development over the years. Include an analysis of the role, objectives and motivations behind staging the event.
• What has changed over the years?
• What classification does the event come under and why.
• Who are the key stakeholders? What role do they play?
• Choose 3 key stakeholders and provide an analysis of them.
• Discuss what you consider to be the most significant impact of the event on society, based on your research into the impacts of the event on its host community and society – you must provide evidence from your research to support your argument.
• Your thoughts on the future of event and its continuing impact on society.
• Your analysis must be based on in-depth research into the event. Use journal articles, key texts and any relevant market industry reports such as Mintel
